Our season ends with the message of hope as we perform Bach’s Osteroratorium, BWV 249. Originating as a secular cantata not much has survived. However, Bach's librettist known as "Picander" retrofitted the music with a new libretto for Easter Sunday 1725. All told Bach revised the work slightly another three times. The narrative is told through the four soloists, Peter and James the apostles, Mary Magdalene and Mary Jacobe. We will also present the Agnus Dei and Dona Nobis from the famed B Minor Mass, as we signal to hope and prosperity and begin our 40th Season celebration.
