Choral Arts Philadelphia presents a program of profound beauty and reflection, offering works that affirm the resilience of the human spirit. Anchoring the concert are the deeply moving Requiems of Tomás Luis de Victoria, a masterwork of the Renaissance, and Herbert Howells, a landmark of the 20th century. Interwoven is Robert Lucas Pearsall’s luminous Lay a Garland, a cherished Romantic-era choral jewel. Together, these works create a journey through grief, remembrance, and the promise of hope that endures “from this time forth.”
