EDUCATION

CHORAL (U)niversity
The mission for Choral Arts Philadelphia's Education Programs is: To foster a love of learning about all aspects of Choral Music, to enrich the lives of all people-particularly those living in poverty – and adults and their communities, to make Choral Music accessible to all and provide a means of participation in Live Performing Arts to all, to build audiences for tomorrow, to encourage the dreams of students young and old to use music as a vessel for creative expression, personal growth, skill attainment, and as a means to realize those dreams.

Choral Arts Philadelphia believes that music is a profound tool for creating connections. Students learn to connect with their music, their peers, their communities and their inner-selves. Music creates bridges between the world of the student and uncharted worlds which students may explore in new ways. Above all we strive to create new opportunities for success for our members and to increase self confidence, strengthen collaborative skills, improve learning, and expand an individual's world-view.

2022-23
LECTURE SERIES

Choral Arts Philadelphia is excited to launch the first season of their lecture series! Each concert/rehearsal, audience goers, choral lovers, members of Choral Arts, and mentees in the Embark program will enjoy specially crafted lectures in correlation to the music being presented or learned on any particular concert series.

During its inaugural season, enjoy lectures from Choral Arts Philadelphia's Artistic Director Matthew Glandorf, Scholars from the American Bach Society, Tempesta di Mare's Richard Stone, and many more!

Detailed announcement of lectures will be announced soon!

Embark
mentorship program

In our continued efforts to break down barriers and create accessibility in the arts, Choral Arts Philadelphia is excited to embark on a journey of discovery into how to make early music more equitable, diverse, and more inclusive.

Starting in the 2022-23 season, CAP will launch our Embark program. This mentorship program will provide students with free lessons, performance opportunities, and education surrounding choral music. In its inaugural year, CAP hopes to provide 4 mentees with full scholarships to participate in the program.
